Record High Number of New Solar Systems Installed in Germany in 2023
January 09, 2024The latest report released by the German Federal Union of the Solar Energy Industry (Bundesanstalt für Sozialwirtschaft) shows that more than one million sets of solar energy systems will be newly installed in Germany in 2023 for power generation or heating, which is a record high. The report points out that Germany currently has about 3.7 million sets of solar energy systems, last year's total power generation was 62 billion kWh, covering 12 per cent of Germany's total electricity consumption.
